Suitable for competitive acquisition. Potential sources shall include dealers/distributors. If sources are limited to the prime contractor and a subcontractor, a competitive code shall not be assigned unless both sources are expected to compete independently for contracts for the part.

The SICA is responsible for the wholesale stock, store, and issue functions for SICA activities. The SICA CMD will reflect Source of Supply or SOS Modifiers compatible with the SICA managing activity. The PICA will not be entered in the DAAS IMM field.
