Preserve Method 20 as follows: Fog spray or flush internally with preservative indicated by preservation code. All openings shall then be plugged or sealed to prevent entrance of dirt and moisture. Exterior unpainted ferrous metal surfaces shall be coated with a suitable paint or enamel, or coated with cold application, nontacky, corrosion preventive compound conforming to MIL-PRF-16173, Grade 4.
