Hold on there, parDners, and don't get ahead of yourselves when you remove road
aRs. It's a two-part job that has to be done right.
±esist the tempTaTion to remove the big hex nut holding the arm shaft in the huLl
mount so you can remove the arm but leave the mount aTTached to ²e hU³l.
You'll get big troUble wiTh
bearings and seals if
you pulL a road arm by
removing these nuts
´here's a good reason why the mount and ²e arM have to come oF (and go back
on) in one pµece¶ ´he onLy way you can seat the bearings and seaLs and torque the
nut is to
tm
t·e mount µn one direction while you tighten in the other.
I
you try to insta³l the shafT and tighten the nut wi² ²e mount stiLl on the huLL,
you won't get the pieces to fit toge²er right and stay tight.

²e mount on the arm, Using 70¹75 Lb¹ft. Back o½ enough to insTaLL the two Locking
screws. ¾en instaLL the mount assembLy.
¾e righT way is the onLy way to do the job. ´ake no sho¿Tcuts.
