or some things, if you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all. But that’s not the case with
the FRAG 5 doors and standard threat (B-KIT) doors on your M1151A1 HMMWVs.
There’s been a lot of confusion identifying which door is which. And you’re not
supposed to mix the doors. So what’s a Soldier to do?
Get smart on the differences between the
two, that’s what you do! To start, make sure
you use the correct door NSNs for each type
of door. The following tables should help:

You should also pay attention to
the differences in the armor over and
under the windows. And see if the
doors line up with the body armor
under the door. That’s key to knowing
which door is on your vehicle.
