handset retainers by liFting on the
handset.
Don't! The handset doesN't need to
be that secure. The liFt just weakens
the springs or drops the telephone±
right in²o support For repair.
A better test is to set tHe phone on
end. IF the handset stays in place, the
springs are doing the job. IF it Falls

replace

springs.
