±f you 're havIng trouble ge¶t·ng the alternator belts tIght, chances are the alter¸
nator Is hItting the pIPe from the aIr cleaner to the bloWer.
¹oosen the hose clamps on the eLbow above the bLower. ºuLl the pipe out
as »r as you can and ret¼ghten the cLamps. Make sure there's a good seal bet½
ween the eLbow And the pIpes.
Don't m·X old and new beLts.
A
new belt is slIghtly shorter than the o¾d stretched
belt. ±f mi¿ed, the new belt carries the load and wears Àster.
