Water seeps into the winch hy-
draulic oil Tank around the cover if
the gaskets are bAd or if the cover's
tightened too much.
Both gaskets are needed to make a
good seal between the lower and
upper covers and the tank±one won't
do the job.

Use new gaskets when you have
the cover oFf. Old gaskets take a set
anD won't seal Tight. Page 12²19 of
³M 9´2320´273´20 shows how they
go. Gaskets are

When yoµ put the cover back on,
tighten the nut snug and then Y´turn
more¶ ·on't overtighten it¸ ³hat ¹ulls
the center of the cover plate down
and raises the edges. ³hen gaskeTs
won't seal.
