´IF yoUr tank still has track retainer
wheels on the outer sprockets, yoµ have
the right bolts. Othe¶wise, order ·ur
or ¸ve with NSN 5306¹01º120¹4339.
»Remove two or more oF the short
bolts that hold on the inner sprocket
and put in the longEr bolts. TightEn the
bolts eve¼ly until they Are tight against

the ½inal drive housing. IF one oF the
"jaCk bolts¾ pushes against a Final drivE
bolt head, move it to another location .
´²s you tighten Each bolt, the bolt
will press against the housing and ·rce
the hub o¿.

reinstall

original

bolts .
NEver use tHe long bolts on the inner
sprocket whEel, or on the outer whEel
unlEss your tank has the retainer rings.

Give Collimator the ²Fix³
D
rying oUt a gUn tUbe Collimator (or
muzzle reÀrence sensor) used to be a
joB ·r sUppo¶t.
Not so any more, though, bEcaUse
you can wipe out moisture in tHe Col-
limator
and
replace
the
desiccator,

months or as needed.
±ere's how:
Äse a ÅÁin socket head screw key
to remove both oF tHe pipe plugs on
the barrel oF the collimator.

PUsH out tHe old desiccator with
a Lƹin drive pin punch and tHrow the
desiCcator aWay.
Push ouT the
old desIccator
±
SCrape any adHesive oÇ the plugs
and threads with a kniÀ. Then clEan
them with PÈD¹680 dry cleaning solÉ
vent and Clean rags.
ÄnWrap
a
new
desiccator
and
cheCk its color. IF it's blue, use it. IF
it's some otHer color, tUÊ it in and get
another.

PUsh the desiccator into the barrel
holeË
Ìrap the two pipe plugs With antiÉ
seizing tape, NSN 8030¹00Á889¹3534,
and install them.
Torque the plugs to bEtwEen 120 and
130 lbÍin.
