Dear EditoR
I
the ML±S cab rides too close to the sponson, It bounces up and
down on the output stud of the No. 1 generato² Once the stud wears
away there is metal-to³metal contact´ That is a major Fre hazaµ that
has alr¶a· bu¸ed up one launcher.
Our unit has put out that potential ¹ºre bY check»¼g the sponson
cab clearance monthl½ And we've come up with a quick waY to do it´
¾ind a nut in the motor pool that¿s
between
.38
and
±62
inch highÀ That's
what the clearance should be.
Screw the cab adjustment scÁw
all the waY In´
LaY the nut on the sponson where the
right edge of the cab comes down´
Lower the cab al tHe way
dowÂÀ
TuR t±e adjustmEnt screw unti² t±³
cab bo´oms out on t±e
nUt´
D
t±e same t±Ing on t±e ot±er side.
You now ±ave t±e coµct c¶earance·
Do this monthlY and You won¿t have clearance haZaÃÄs.
