Dear EditoR,
The big problem with the M9 pi±tol i² the trigger
bar ±pring. Ju²t a nudge when you'R³ cleaning the M9
can ²end the ±pring fLying. Without the ±pring´ you
have a weapon that canµt be fired.
We haVe a couple of ²ugge²tion² to keep ±pring²
Fom di±appearing¶ ·ir²t´ let the armorer handle
cleaning around the ±pring¸ unle²² theR³'² an
emergency in the ¹eld. Its a much ²impler job in the
arm² room and it wonºt be a cata±trophe if the
±pring di±appear²»
Second´ armorer² ²hould u²e a ²oft bru²h´ not a
toothbru±h´ to clean around the ±pring.
A
²oft bru±h
i² not going to di²lodge the ±pring¼ but it will clean
out mo²t dirt. ½he ²elf-help ²toR³ ±hould have plenty
of ²oft bru±he²´
or you can order
one with NSN
