Dear EditoR,
The wet weather parka
and trousers do a great job
keeping you dry in the ±Ain²
but most soldiers don't like
to wear them because they
smell terrible. ³he
preservative poWder on the
±Ainsuit soaks up odors
and soon it smells like a
garbage can on a hot day´
µhe solution is the same
as when
Y
start to smell
ripe: ¶·ke a sho¸er¹ ºUrn the
parka and trousers inside
out» put them on² and hop
in the shoWe±¼ Scrub the
½insuit thoroughly with
bar soap¹ ¾ash all the
soap ofF
Let the rainsuit air d¿Y
Àr
24
hours² but not in
direct sunlight. ³he sun
causes permanent creases.
Never run the parka or
trousers through a
washing machine or d±Ye¿,
eithe¿Á Âhat ruins the
sealant that ¸aterproofÃ
the rainsuitÄs seams.
Âhe parka and trousers
¸ill smell better longer if
you
Je
them completely dry
beÀre storing them.
