Hey, No More Cracks!

y now your unit probably has the new
advanced SINCGARS improvement pro-
gram (ASIP) E-model RT. That also means
by now you have been fighting the problem
of cracking keyboard displays.
If you have cracked displays, here is
how you can fix them. Order repair kit,
NSN 5895-01-484-6837. The kit is around
a third of the cost of a new keypad, which
is how you had to fix the display before. To
use the kit right, you’ll need to follow the
instructions in TB 11-5820-890-30-4.
Of course, the best option is to try to
keep the display from cracking. To do that,
don’t drop it. Use carrying strap, NSN
To prevent other mishaps, use a display
cover, NSN 5895-01-473-6804.
