Dear Editor,
We are running into problems with Bradley operators not completely stowing
the TOW launcher before moving. They either forget to stow the launcher at
all or don’t wait for the launcher to completely settle into the stow position.
If the launcher is not completely in stow, movement puts too much stress
on it and the lift motor assembly wears out faster. Once the lift stops
working, the only fix is to lower the launcher manually with a ratchet.
Avoid those problems by checking that the launcher is stowed and stowed
completely before hitting the road. You will feel the launcher lock down when
it’s completely stowed.
