- or 5-ton truck. Cross those air lines and the trailer brakes will lock
up, burn out or ruin the tires!
So make sure your trailer’s hooked up right. It’s not that hard. Just locate the
SERVICE and EMERGENCY air couplings and use the TM to verify which is which
on your trailer.
If they’re not already marked, it’s a good idea to color-code the trailer air hose
connectors and the truck’s gladhand couplings now. A dab of blue paint on the
SERVICE connectors and red on the EMERGENCY pair will keep things straight
the next time you hook ‘em up.
