Dear Master Sergeant,
Certainly. MWO 9-1005-201-23-1 replaces MWO 9-1005-201-50-2 as the MWO
to replace the M249’s buttstock with the lightweight collapsible buttstock. It’s dated
1 Aug 13, which means you have until 1 Aug 18 to have your M249s modifed.
The work will be done by
your feld level repair, but
needs to be arranged through
your MWO coordinator.
Remember that once the
MWO is done, the collapsible
buttstock becomes the
standard buttstock. The
old buttstock should be
turned in.
