Remove 10 lug nuts (Figure 4, Item 1).

WARNING

DO NOT lift wheel and tire assembly. Wheel and tire assembly weighs 250 lb (113 kg).

Use two or more personnel to roll or slide wheel and tire assembly. Failure to comply may

result in death or injury to personnel. Seek medical attention in the event of an injury.

With assistance, remove outer tire assembly (Figure 4, Item 3).

NOTE

If removing only the outer tire assembly, do not perform Steps 8 and 9.

With assistance, remove inner tire assembly.

CAUTION

Remove the valve stem extension prior to mounting the spare tire to the stowage area. If

valve stem extension is not removed the entire valve will break off due to the extended

length. Failure to comply may result in damage to, or destruction of, equipment or mission.

Remove inner valve stem extension (Figure 4, Item 4).
