INSPECTION
NOTE
•
If torque rod eyes or spigot caps show visible cracks, they must be discarded and
replaced. If spigots show visible cracks, inform your Supervisor.
•
Oversize replacement bushings are available.
•
The standard bushing should be used until the spigot diameter is below 2.530 in.
(6.426 cm). To determine wear, take two measurements 90 degrees apart
(i.e., “A-A” and “B-B”) as shown in Figure 2, or measure over visible wear area.
The smaller of the two dimensions is to be taken as the wear limit (see Table 1 for
values). If spigot is below the minimum dimension shown in Table 1, inform
your Supervisor.
Inspect torque rod eyes (Figure 1, Item 6), spigots (Figure 1, Item 4), and spigot caps (Figure 1, Item 1) for
visible cracks and wear.
