REMOVAL
1.
Allow gooseneck base to drop until gooseneck lifting lugs and center lug of gooseneck are firmly on ground
to allow maximum extension of lift cylinders.
WARNING
When servicing this vehicle, performing maintenance, or disposing of materials such as
lubricants or Chemical Agent Resistant Coating (CARC) paint, consult your Unit/Local
Hazardous Waste Disposal Center or safety office for local regulatory guidance. If further
information is needed, please contact the Army Environmental Hotline at 1-800-872-3845.
Failure to comply may result in death or injury to personnel. Seek medical attention in the
event of an injury.
CAUTION
Cap or plug all ports and hose ends to prevent contamination of hydraulic fluid. Failure to
comply may result in damage to, or destruction of, equipment or mission.
NOTE
Tag all wires, hoses, tubing, and connections prior to removal for ease
of installation.
Remove lower hydraulic line first in order to drain hydraulic fluid from system.
Discard drained hydraulic fluid.
2.
Disconnect and appropriately tag lower and upper hydraulic lines (Figure 1, Item 1) from lift cylinder inlet
and outlet ports. Cap or tape closed openings in ports and lines.
