Step 27.

Test headlight beam selector switch (9) as follows: Disconnect batteries (page 2-424).

Remove

center instrument panel (page 2-424).

Pull apart wire connectors (3 and 6).

Set multimeter to

ohms scale and adjust to 0 ohms.

Connect red test lead to wire terminal (10) and black test lead

to wire terminal (11) on wire connector (6).

Check for 0 ohms on multimeter.

Disconnect test

leads.

a.

If multimeter reads no continuity, replace headlight beam selector switch (1) (page 2-

742).

b.

If multimeter reads 0 ohms, go to step 28.
