Battery cables disconnected (page 2-424).

Materials/Parts

Rear engine cover removed (page 2-1270).

Lockwasher, starter motor mounting

(three required)

Lockwasher, solenoid ground

Lockwasher, starter motor ground

Starter motor

Nut (2), lockwasher

Tag wires.

Using 314-inch box-end wrench, un-

screw and take off.

Get rid of lockwasher.

Take off four wires.

loosen.

Do not take out.
