DO NOT use a brakedrum that exceeds maximum wear specification.

Failure to follow this warning may

result In brake failure and serious Injury or death.

1.

Reface braking surface (6) of brakedrum (1) with

brakedrum lathe.

Remove a maximum of 0.01

in.

(0.25 mm) per cut.

2.

If inside diameter of brakedrum (1) now exceeds

maximum diameter marked on brakedrum,

discard brakedrum.

FOLLOW-ON TASKS:

• Install brakedrum (see TM 5-3805-254-20).
