Inspect for signs of mistreatment, such as dents,
scuff marks, bare spots, and missing parts Check

Eyepiece Assembly
Check for moisture and foreign matter
Look for
broken, cracked, or chipped glass.

Reticle Cell Assembly
Check for moisture and foreign matter and that
reticle is illuminated when M36 instrument light is
attached.

Cover Assembly
Check that cover assembly is secure and plate is
legible.
5
Objective Cell Assembly
Check for moisture and foreign matter, and that
parallax does not exceed 0.1 mil at 125 meters.
6
Eyeshield
Check for cracks, splits, and rubber deterioration.
