thoroughly steam clean tank or use other approved method to completely take out all
fumes.
Do not use a wire brush or compressed air to clean brake drums. There may be as-
bestos dust on brake drums which can be dangerous to your health if you breathe it
in.
Do not dry bearing with compressed air. Spinning bearings may explode and cause
serious injury to personnel.
Crossrod is heavy and may drop a few inches when 12 screws and nuts holding it in
place are taken out. Keep all parts of body out from under crossrod when taking out
screws and nuts.
Rear axle system is extremely heavy. Be careful when raising axles and putting in
jack stands to avoid injury to personnel.
While working on spring, keep body clear of underside of spring. When parts are
taken off, spring may come out and cause injury to personnel.
The fifth wheel is heavy and bulky.
Make sure there is enough clearance around
working area before lifting unit to avoid injury to personnel and damage to equipment.
