NOTE

If heater fails to start, turn RUN-OFF-START switch to OFF

position and repeat steps 5 and 6. Notify your supervisor if

heater fails to start after two attempts.

Check fuel gauge (1). Make sure fuel tank(s) are full if engine coolant

heater is to operate for an extended period.

To shut down engine coolant heater:

(a)

Turn RUN-OFF-START switch (3) to OFF.

(b)

Remain in vehicle cab to make sure indicator lamp (2) goes out and

blower motor shuts down (approximately 1-3 minutes).

NOTE

Omit step c if engine is to be started immediately.

(c)

Close electric fuel pump shutoff valve by turning valve lever (4)

one-quarter turn clockwise. Close two levers (4) on M939A2 series vehicles.
