COMPONENTS OF END ITEM (COEI)

AND BASIC ISSUE ITEMS (BII) LISTS

Section I. INTRODUCTION

B-1. SCOPE

This appendix lists integral components and basic issue items for M939, M939A1,

and M939A2 series vehicles. The appendix is designed to help you inventory items

required for safe and efficient operation.

B-2. GENERAL

a. Section II, Components of the End Item (COEI).

These items are

installed in the vehicle at time of manufacture or rebuild. (None authorized for

M939, M939A1, and M939A2 series.)

b. Section III, Basic Issue Items (BII).

These are the minimum essential

items required to place and maintain M939, M939A1, and M939A2 series vehicles

in operation. BII must accompany the vehicle during operation and whenever it is

transferred between accountable officers. The illustrations will assist you in

identifying each basic issue item.

The following provides an explanation of columns found in the tabular listings:

a. Column (1) – Illustration Number (Illus Number).

This column indicates

the number of the illustration in which the item is shown.

b. Column (2) – National Stock Number.

Indicates the national stock number

assigned to the item and will be used for requisitioning purposes.

c. Column (3) – Description.

(1) Left side of column.

Indicates the federal item name and, if required, a

minimum description to identify and locate the item. The last line for each item

indicates the Commercial and Government Entity Code (CAGEC) (in parentheses)

followed by the part number.
