(68 N•m) while rotating

wheel in both directions.

c. If new bearings have been

installed, torque to 100

Ib-ft (136 N•m) while ro-

tating wheel in both direc-

tions, back off to 0 Ib-ft.

Torque to 50 Ib-ft (68 N•m).

d. Back off preload nut no

more than 1/4 turn counter-

clockwise to install cotter

pin.

Install.

Torque to 250-300 Ib-ft

N•m).

Alining pin (16) must face

toward Iockring (9).

Adjust preload nut (8) so that

alining pin (16) slips into nearest

hole in Iockring (9).
