2-74. FAN CLUTCH CONTROLS.
1.
FAN CLUTCH. When actuator opens, compressed air from supply reservoir engages clutch to
actuate fan.
2.
FAN CLUTCH ACTUATOR. Opens air connection between supply reservoir and fan clutch
when coolant temperature rises above 190°F (88°C).
3.
PRIMARY RESERVOIR. Supplies air pressure to engage clutch and rotate fan when actuator
opens air connection.
