Prepare retrieval system for operation (para 2-72).

WARNING

Hold crosstube when

removing springs.

Crosstube may swing or

cause adapter to slide

resulting in personal

injury.

Inter-vehicular air lines

are not connected when

towing from rear.

Disabled vehicle will not

have braking. Use

extreme caution when

transporting disabled

vehicle using rear hookup.

Failure to comply may

cause severe injury or

death.

Disconnect two springs (15) from tow cylinders

(16).

NOTE

Right and left towing shackles are removed the same

way.

Remove two cotter pins (17), pins (18), and towing shackles (19) from

wrecker.
