Procedure: Check for and have repaired, filled,
or adjusted as needed
HEAVY-DUTY WINCH
Keep hands clear of heavy-duty winch cable.
Hands can get caught and cause serious in-
jury or death.
Always wear heavy gloves when handling
winch cables. Never let cables run through
hands; frayed cables can cut. Never operate
winch with less than five wraps of cable on
winch drum.

frays or breaks.
