Install clevis (28) on shift rod end (3) and install clevis pin (29) and cotter pin (30).

Install shift cable (15) in shift cable bracket (4) and tighten nut (31).
NOTE
•
Do steps (14) through (16) only if
two-speed shift linkage is not to be
adjusted.
•
Boot is black plastic cover located on
top right side of transfer case.

Position boot (32) on shift cable (15).

Install seven ratchet fasteners (33) and
washers (34).

Install clamp (35) on boot (32).

Adjust two-speed
shift linkage (para 9-5).
