(8) Remove forward clutch assembly (1) and collector ring

installer from press.

(9) Coat collar of oil collector ring (6) with retaining compound

and place on forward clutch assembly (1).

(10) Install collector ring installer on oil collector ring (6) and

install oil collector ring.

(11) Remove collector ring installer.

Using staking tool, Soldier A bends edge of oil collector

ring (6) in groove in forward clutch assembly (1) while

Soldier B supports forward clutch assembly on edge,

making sure oil collector ring does not touch work

surface.

STAKING TOOL

Look

at bottom of forward clutch piston (7)

and

note whether

forward clutch piston is

labeled A, B, or C.
