Measure and record distance between height of impeller vanes (17) and plate (18).

Measure and record distance between height of vane plate (19) and housing surface (20).

Subtract the smaller number from the larger number recorded, difference should be

between 0.005-in. to 0.008-in. (0.127 to 0.203 mm). If clearance is correct go to step

(21).
