Set engine brake on/off switch (2) to on (up) position, ENGINE BRAKE ENABLE

indicator (3) will illuminate.

Lift foot off throttle pedal (4). Engine brake will automatically slow vehicle.

If too much braking occurs, set transmission range selector (5) to a higher range.

5.

If more braking is required, set engine brake high/medium/low switch (1) to medium

(center) position, and then high (full up) position (as required).

NOTE

Engine brake operates best when engine speed is between 1650 and

2100 rpm.

6.

Check that tachometer (6) reads between 1650 and 2100 rpm whenever engine brake

is used.
