c. Raising Side Flaps.

(1) Raise rear flap (para 2-28a).

NOTE

All side flaps are raised the same way. Right side rear flap shown.

(2) Disconnect two straps (1) from D-rings (2).

NOTE

Steps (3) through (7) require the aid of two assistants.

(3) Remove shock cord (3) from two J-hooks (4) on right side front flap (5).

(4) Remove shock cord (6) from five J-hooks (4).
