Check drive shaft for excessive movement

at universal joints.

If universal joint(s) shows any movement,

replace universal joint(s) (para 9-2).

Perform drive shaft hinging inspection

(para 9-3).

Visually inspect drive shaft for damaged

slip yoke, bent/dented tubing, or missing

balance weights.

(3)

If drive shaft does not pass hinging

inspection or visual inspection, replace drive

shaft (para 9-2).
