(15) Lubricate and install retainer packing (8) on torque

converter end plug (9).

(16) Position torque converter end plug (9) in torque

converter module (1).

(17) Tighten torque converter end plug (9) to 37-44 lb-ft

(50-60 N•m).

f. Follow-On Maintenance.

Install transmission assembly (para 7-4).

End of Task.

CAUTION

NOTE

Perform steps (15) through (17) on trans-

missions S/N 6510165560 or higher.

Use care when tightening converter end plug.

Do not over tighten.

Failure to comply may

result in damage to equipment.
