2-43. WRECKER FLAT TOWING (CONT)
Perform Towing Disabled Vehicle (para 2-62).
a. Vehicles M1089 Can Tow.
The following vehicles can be towed with M1089:
•
M35 Series
•
M939 Series and M809 Series
•
M998 Series
•
M1008 Series
•
M1078 and M1083 Series (M1089 can be towed from the front only)
b. Towing Pintle Assembly Installation.
CAUTION
Underlift assembly must be fully raised. Failure to comply may result in
damage to equipment.
(1) Position underlift assembly for flat tow (para 2-44).
(2) Remove towing pintle assembly (1) from tool box.
(3) Install towing pintle assembly (1) on boom frame (2) with two pins (3).
(4) Install two lock pins (4) in each pin (3).
