FRONT LEAF SPRING REPLACEMENT (CONT)
(11)
Position leaf spring (1) on front axle (10).
(13) Install leaf spring (1) in shackle (11) with spring pin
(12).
(14) Install lubrication fitting (13) in pin (12).
(15) Position screw (14) and self-locking nut (15) in
shackle (11).
(16) Tighten nut (15) to 76-94 lb-ft (103-127 N•m).
CAUTION
NOTE
Step (12) requires the aid of an assistant.
Use care when installing spring pins to
prevent damage to lubrication fitting hole
threads.
Failure to comply may result in
damage to equipment.
NOTE
•
Position spring pin so grove faces slot in
shackle.
•
Lubricate spring pin before installation.
•
Step (13) requires the aid of an assistant.
