(9) Remove

two

90-degree

fittings

(2

and

3)

from

counterbalance valve (15).

(10) Remove two preformed packings (16 and 17) from 90-

degree fittings (2 and 3). Discard preformed packings.

(11) Remove two grease fittings (18) from each end of

erection cylinder (9).

b. Installation.

(1) Install two grease fittings (1) on each end of erection

cylinder (2).

(2) Install two preformed packings (3 and 4) on 90-degree

fittings (5 and 6).

(3) Install 90-degree fittings (5 and 6) in counterbalance

valve (7).

WARNING

Erection cylinder weighs approximately 50

lbs (23 Kgs).

Attach a suitable lifting

device prior to installation.

Failure to

comply may result in injury to personnel.

(4) Position erection cylinder (2) in boom assembly (8)

(5) Install upper pivot shaft (9) in erection cylinder (2).
