16-37. M1089 LIFT CYLINDER REPLACEMENT (CONT)

CAUTION

Cap or plug hydraulic connections to prevent

contamination of hydraulic system. Failure to

comply may result in damage to equipment.

NOTE

Tag hydraulic connections and connection

points prior to disconnecting.

(3) Disconnect hose (5) from fitting (6).

(4) Remove preformed packing (7) from fitting (6). Discard

preformed packing.

(5) Disconnect hose (8) from 90-degree fitting (9).

(6) Remove 90-degree fitting (9) from counterbalance valve

(10).

(7) Remove preformed packings (11 and 12) from fitting (9).

Discard preformed packings.

(8) Disconnect two hoses (13) from 90-degree fittings (14).

(9) Remove two 90-degree fittings (14) from counterbalance

valve (10).

(10) Remove two preformed packings (15) and preformed

packings (16) from 90-degree fittings (14).

Discard

preformed packings.
