ADJUSTMENT

Hearing protection is required for the driver and co-driver. Hearing

protection is also required for all personnel working in and around this

vehicle while the engine is running (Reference AR 40-5 and

TB MED. 501).

NOTE

Engine idle speed is 750-850 rpm.

1.

Start engine (TM 9-2320-386-10) and check tachometer reading. If tachometer reading is not within

range:

a. Loosen locknut (2) and turn adjusting screw (3) until engine idle is within the proper range.

b. Tighten locknut (2).

c. If proper engine idle speed cannot be achieved, notify direct support maintenance to replace

governor (1).
