NOTE
Do not remove bearings from caps, except when replacing caps.
Mark mating yoke position for installation.
DISASSEMBLY
1.
Snapring type:
a. Remove four snaprings (1) from yoke (5) and yoke flange (3) from spider cross (4). Discard
snaprings (1).
b. Remove four bearing caps (2), yoke flange (3), and spider cross (4) from yoke (5). Discard
bearing caps (2) and spider cross (4).
c.
Remove four seals (6) and lubrication fitting (7) from spider cross (4). Discard seals (6).
2.
Cap type:
a. Remove eight screws (8), four straps (9) and bearing caps (10) from yoke (12) and yoke
flange (11).
b. Remove yoke flange (11) and spider cross (4) from yoke (12).
c.
Remove four seals (6) and lubrication fitting (7) from spider cross (4). Discard seals (6).
