Painting and Stenciling

a.

General instructions are included in TB 43-0209

and TM 43-0139.

b.

Spot painting and marking (stenciling) of tactical

vehicles will be performed under the control of unit

maintenance personnel.

c.

Painting of a complete tactical vehicle can be

authorized and performed only by direct support

maintenance or by higher support elements.

WARNING

DO NOT paint the semitrailer’s grounding

studs. To ensure safe operation of fuel

handling equipment, proper bonding and

grounding connections must be made to

clean, unpainted surfaces. Failure to follow

this warning may result in injury or death to

personnel.
