Working from winch control end of

planetary winch drum (4), install winch

cylinder collar (2) removed in disassem-

bly step 1 on winch carrier brake rod

(17).

Install flat washers (18), as needed, to

allow one of the hexagon nuts (1)

removed in disassembly step 1 to be

tightened on winch carrier brake rod

(17).

Install and tighten hexagon plain nut (1)

on winch carrier brake rod (17) to relieve

pressure on brake plates inside planetary

winch drum (4).

Using retaining ring pliers, remove

ing ring (21) from inside motor end
