REPLACE SHUTOFF VALVE TO FUEL PUMP HOSE AND SHUTOFF
VALVE (M577A2 ONLY) — Continued

INSTALLATION
WARNING
Adhesive, primer, sealant compounds, and isopropyl alcohol are toxic and flammable. These
compounds are toxic to eyes, skin, and respiratory tract. Continued exposure can make you
dizzy and irritate your eyes and throat.
Always use in well ventilated areas, away from heat, sparks, and flames. Do not breathe fumes.
Do not allow into contact with skin and eyes. Use goggles or face shield and protective gloves.
1.
Apply light coat of sealing compound to all external tapered threads. Do not apply sealant beyond small end of tapered
threads.
NOTE
Replacing a flareless fuel hose or tube assembly may also require new mating fittings such as
a tee, elbow, or adapter.
2.
Install nipple (16) in tee (17).
3.
Place clamp (13) on nipple (16) and align with bracket (15). Secure with screw (12) and new locknut (14).
4.
Install shutoff valve (11) on nipple (16). Install adapter (10) on shutoff valve.
5.
Install two clamps (2) and (4) on hose (8). Connect hose to adapter (10) and fuel pump (9).
6.
Align clamp (7), two new lockwashers (6), and two clamps (4) and (5) with hull weldnut. Secure with screw (3).
7.
Align clamp (2) with hull weldnut. Secure with screw (1).
