d.
If you can’t fix the problem using the PMCS’s and procedures in the standard
TM and LO, use the assessment table 2-1 to assess and fix the problem.
e.
If the problem does not affect vehicle operation, the commander will decide
whether to attempt to fix the problem or continue with the mission.
f.
If the damage does affect vehicle operation, do one of the following:
(1) Replace the bad part/assembly with a good one (from supply or other
source or vehicle).
(2) Replace the bad part/assembly with a substitute, if one exists.
(3) Use the expedient repair procedures in this manual to repair the damage.
After repairing the damaged system, replace all lost fluids and/or
lubricants. If the ones specified by the standard LO or TM are not available, refer to
Appendix C for a possible substitute.
