11. Remove two locknuts (1), screws (2), washers (3), and rack (4) from support plate (5). Discard locknuts.

12. Remove four screws (6), locknuts (7), eight washers (8), and support plate (5) from tube (9). Discard locknuts.

13. Pull handle (10) and push tube (9) down to its lowest position. Hold rod (11) and remove locknut (12) and washer (13)

from rod (11). Discard locknut.

WARNING

Apply pressure on tube to prevent spring from releasing when handle is pulled out. Injury to

personnel can result from flying tube and spring.

14. While pushing down on tube (9), pull out handle (10) and slowly allow spring (14) to expand.

15. Remove rod (11), tube (9), and spring (14), from pedestal (15).

16. Remove pin (16), handle (10), spring (17), and washer (18) from tube (9).
