REPLACE NBC CABLE TO HEATERS, AIR PURIFIER, AND SWITCH
ASSEMBLY (M113A3 ONLY)

Engine stopped (see your -10)
Carrier blocked (see your -10)
Battery ground strap disconnected (WP 0337 00)
Drop instrument panel. See Replace Panel Mounts and
Ground Leads (WP 0295 00).
REMOVAL
1.
Disconnect cable (1) from air purifier (2).
2.
Loosen two screws (3) and remove cover (4) from switch assembly (5) and transverse beam.
3.
If circuit breaker switch assembly needs to be replaced, see Replace NBC Filter Switch (WP 0802 00).
4.
Remove circuit 579C (6) from jack (7) on air filter switch (8).
5.
Remove circuit 537C (9) from jack (10) on air filter on lamp (11).
6.
Remove all tie straps (12) securing cable (1) to other wiring harnesses. Discard straps.
7.
Remove circuit 579A lead (13) from connector (14) on back of instrument panel.
8.
Remove circuit 537B lead (15) from driver’s heater controller lead (16).
9.
Remove circuit 537A lead (17) from commander’s heater controller lead (18).
10. Remove circuit 10A lead (19) from connector (20) and circuit breaker (21).
11. Remove circuit 10 lead (22) from connector (14).
WARNING
Removing cables from the regulator without disconnecting the vehicle battery ground cable
may hurt personnel and damage equipment from electrical power.
NOTE
Do Step 12 to gain better access to remove NBC cable ground lead.
12. Remove four screws (23), lockwashers (24) and regulator (25) from bracket (26).
