WARNING
ROTATION HAZARD
Installed or removed, the rotation of the radiator cooling fans creates a hazard during maintenance on a running engine.
Exercise care to prevent injury, especially to fingers and hands, during maintenance operations on a running engine (ref
FM 21-11).

FALLING EQUIPMENT/ROLLING VEHICLE HAZARD
Unless otherwise specified, perform all maintenance procedures with all equipment lowered to the ground, transmission in
neutral, parking/emergency brake applied, and the engine stopped to prevent possible injury to personnel due to falling
equipment or rolling vehicle (ref.
FM 21-11).
WARNING
EXPLOSION HAZARD
Cylinders containing compressed gases must not be dropped, struck, or subjected to any temperature above +140°F
(+60°C).
This could result in an explosion and injury to personnel (ref FM 21-11).
WARNING
TOXIC MATERIAL
Phosphorus material on inside of night viewer is toxic if tube is broken.
Be careful not to inhale or allow contact with open
skin wounds or with mouth.
WARNING
BDAR team personnel must be made aware of the provisions of TB 9-1300-278, guidelines for Safe Response to
Handling, Storage, and Transportation Accidents Involving Army Tank Munitions or Armor which contain Depleted
Uranium.
Incorrect handling, storage and transporting can result in serious injury or death to personnel.
