This manual is for use in performing Direct and General Support Maintenance on the Hydromechanical
Crossdrive Transmission, HMPT 500 and the transmission container assembly. For operational
troubleshooting, tests, and adjustments, refer to the Organizational Manual TM 9-2350-252-20-1 and
the System Manual TM 9-2350-252-34-1.
MAINTENANCE FORMS, RECORDS, AND REPORTS
Department of the Army forms and procedures used for equipment maintenance will be those
prescribed by DA PAM 738-750, The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS).
PREPARATION FOR STORAGE OR SHIPMENT
See Chapter 2 of this manual for directions for preparing the transmission for storage or shipment in the
container.
